Project overview

The Water Security for the Lundja Aboriginal Community project will upgrade 1km of the Halls Creek Borefield pipe. This will improve the reliability of access to water as the pipe is the sole supply of drinking water to the Community.

The Lundja Community experiences frequent water outages from damaged network infrastructure. This means there is water insecurity within the Community. It is estimated this project will save 864 kilolitres (kL) to 4,320kL of water per year.

This project supports the Australian Government’s commitment to Close the Gap on water security for First Nations communities.
