Project overview

The East Grampians Rural Water Supply Project will improve water security for rural properties in the East Grampians region.

The project includes construction of a water pipeline to provide a reticulated non-drinking water supply for properties along the pipe alignment. Once complete, the construction will:

  • supply 1,400 megalitres of water to rural properties each year
  • provide around 600 rural businesses with the opportunity to access the reticulated water supply
  • cover an area of 200,000 hectares.

Construction has commenced and the project is expected to be completed in early 2026.
