To submit an idea or proposal
Water infrastructure ideas
If you have a water infrastructure idea that you think could be eligible for funding through the National Water Grid Fund, you can submit your idea to the relevant state or territory government water Minister’s Office.
To find out who your representative is please visit your state or territory government website.
Submitting a proposal for Science Program funding
Our Science Program provides funding directly to state and territory governments and selected research organisations to support relevant projects. To submit a proposal to receive National Water Grid (NWG) Science Program funding you can email the science team via nwga.science@dcceew.gov.au.
If you are a member of the public and/or an organisation, you should submit your proposals to your relevant state or territory government water minister’s office. To find out who your representative is, please visit your state or territory government website.

Submitting a proposal for First Nations project funding
To discuss potential projects, First Nations representatives are encouraged to contact the NWG by emailing nwga.firstnations@dcceew.gov.au.
