More funding to raise Rookwood Weir

The Australian and Queensland governments have each committed another $7.5 million for Rookwood Weir, in addition to the $176 million each government has already committed to the project.

This additional funding will unlock 10,000 additional megalitres for Central Queensland, increasing the yield of Rookwood Weir by 86,000 megalitres for water users.

This investment will increase water security and resilience in the Central Queensland region, while boosting the local economy and creating more jobs.
