Investigating water infrastructure options for NSW
Two new detailed business cases will investigate vital water infrastructure projects in the Central Tablelands and Western Plains regions of New South Wales.
The Macquarie-Wambuul Water Security Scheme detailed business case will consider new pipelines, increased storage, upgrading existing infrastructure and enhancing environmental water delivery through to the Macquarie Marshes.
The Belubula Water Security Scheme business case will investigate expanding the current Lake Rowlands Dam to Carcoar Dam pipeline project to include the ongoing development of the Lake Rowlands Dam augmentation project.
Recognising the importance of both of these projects, the Australian Government and New South Wales governments have committed $9.7 million toward the Macquarie-Wambuul Water Security Scheme business case, and $6.8 million towards the Belubula Water Security Scheme business case.
